Until October, 4,826 Animals in West Jakarta Have Been Vaccinated

Until October 2020, West Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency has vaccinated as many as 4,826 animals that have a potential to transmit rabies.

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Animals Husbandry and Animals Health Section Head, Churniatun stated, rabies vaccination is given annually for free.

For this year, her side is targeted to vaccinate 7,000 animals.

"Until October, we have vaccinated 4,826 animals, it means about 68.94% of the target," she mentioned, Wednesday (11/4).

Her side has made vaccine schedule in eight sub-districts and coordinated with urban village administrators to inform local residents about this free rabies vaccination. According to plan, rabies vaccination will be carried out until November.

"During the vaccination, our personnel are ensured to apply 3M health protocol (wearing mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands)," she asserted.
