Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency routinely fills the water for portable sinks in Untung Jawa Island Village, South Seribu Islands Sub-district, Seribu Islands.
Every day seven officers go around using a motorized cart to make sure the water tanks that have been provided are filled
Abdul Rouf, Head of Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency said those portable sinks were attached in RW 01, 02, 03 and Untung Jawa Island Urban Village.
"Every day seven officers go around using a motorized cart to make sure the water tanks that have been provided are filled," he expressed, Monday (9/28)
He explained the action was conducted in the pier area, on protocol roads, in front of government offices, RPTRA, school buildings to neighborhood streets.
"We use clean water from the existing RO or SWRO. The need for clean water can reach 200-300 liters," he explained.
Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head Supriyadi hoped that it could further civilize the community to continuously comply with 3M health protocols to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
"This facility makes it easier for residents to implement 3M, one of which is to diligently wash their hands with soap," he stated.
