Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) is ready to facilitate artists by providing Youth and Sport Centers thus they can keep productive.
" Currently, indoor facilities are still closed. But they can use the outdoor area"
Jakarta Dispora Head, Achmad Firdaus stated, Youth and Sport Centers provision is related to the issuance of Jakarta Gubernatorial Instruction (Ingub) No. 45/2020 concerning Creation and Development of Artistic Ecosystem in DKI Jakarta Province.
"Dispora has Youth Centers in almost all sub-districts in Jakarta and five Youth Centers at city level. Those locations facilitate Jakarta youth's activities, including arts, cultures, sports, and others," he mentioned, Wednesday (7/29).
Related to the recent COVID-19 pandemic situation, only outdoor area of the sport facilities that can be used for arts and cultural purposes. Besides, its implementation should follow the health protocols.
"Currently, indoor facilities are still closed. But they can use the outdoor area. We are ready to facilitate them if they want to use it for art and cultural purposes. Just inform us," he said.
His side hopes this policy can help artists in expressing themselves and keeping them productive.
"It is a part of our supports for art development. Thus they can hone their talents in arts," he asserted.
