As many as 500 residents and police officers underwent COVID-19 rapid tests at East Jakarta Sport Hall (GOR), Jalan Otista, Jatinegara, on Tuesday (7/7).

Before undergoing the test initiated by the East Jakarta Metro Resort Police with the East Jakarta Health Sub-agency, they had to pass through recording data and body temperature checking first.

East Jakarta Resort Police Chief Comr. Pol. Arie Ardia Rishadi said that it was important, especially for police members who often assigned in the field.

"By so we can minimize the spread of COVID-19 outbreak," he stressed, at the location.

He assessed it also helped residents who need a health certificate, especially for the purposes of applying for work, school or traveling out of town.

At the same time, East Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head Indra Setiawan added one medical team from Jatinegara Sub-district Puskesmas had been alerted to the location.

"They are assigned to conduct swab tests if participants had reactive symptoms," he closed.
