PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol as the management of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol imposes new policies during the Transitional Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.

" Gradually, we will limit the visitors up to 50 percent per day"

PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Corporate Communication Manager, Rika Lestari said, her side imposes new policies such as implementing online ticket purchasing system via website ancol.com and providing cashless transaction.

"Gradually, we will limit the visitors up to 50 percent per day by looking at the current situation and condition. We also require visitors to reserve their tickets before arrival," she added, Tuesday (6/9).

Health protocols for COVID-19 prevention also important to be implemented, such as wearing mask, checking body temperature, often washing hands using soap, and using hand sanitizer.

"We will also applying physical distancing in all areas, including when queuing for taking a ride, entering restaurant, and other facilities in the Ancol's recreation and resort area," she mentioned.

According to him, this new operational standard protocols will be socialized soon to the public after there is certainty of the reopening date. Thus people who want to visit Ancol can prepare themselves and follow the regulation carefully.

"We recommend visitors to make sure they are fit before going to Ancol," she asserted.

All of these provisions apply to all regular visitors and annual pass card holders. Protocols for the ride operational will be also applied to all employees including outsourcing staff, company vendors, restaurant partners, resellers, and other stakeholders.

"Ancol management will educate people more intensively to apply clean and healthy lifestyle by providing body thermal checking, adding more hand washing facilities, providing hand sanitizers, spraying the rides often with disinfectant, and installing signs in several points in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol area," she mentioned.

Even though COVID-19 pandemic is not ended yet, she assessed that it is better if people can adapt to the 'new normal' in the tourism industry. For this reason, Ancol management campaigns #SSBB or 'Senang Selamat Bareng-Bareng' (Happy to be Safe Together), to ensure all visitors, employees, officers, and partners to have fun while realizing to take care of themselves and the others.

"We must take care of our health and cleanliness because each person has a role to look after other people. Thus everyone in Ancol can enjoy the entertainment fully," she mentioned.

For information, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol has closed its operational temporarily since March 14, 2020. It was done to reduce the potential of COVID-19 transmission.
