Starting Today, Pulogebang Terminal Closes AKAP Bus Service

Starting this Friday (4/24), Management of Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, Cakung, East Jakarta closed inter-city inter-province (AKAP) bus service.

Starting today, all AKAP bus services will not operate until May 31, 2020

It was done to follow up the issuance of Transportation Ministry Regulation Number PM 25/2020 concerning Transport Control along Homecoming Period of Eid 1441 Hijri in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Based on Beritajakarta.id monitoring, Pulogebang Terminal looked deserted, no passengers or PO managers who offer bus tickets today. Even the situation at the departure and arrival lanes are not as crowded as usual.

Pulogebang Integrated Terminal Management Unit Head, Bernard Octavianus Pasaribu stated, since Transportation Ministry Regulation Number PM 25/2020 issued, AKAP buses no longer serve the passengers until May 31, 2020. But city buses are still operating at 6 AM - 6 PM by applying health protocols.

"Starting today, all AKAP bus services will not operate until May 31, 2020. Sometimes, there are one or two AKAP buses in here, but we instruct them to exit the terminal and not carry passenger," he informed, Friday (4/24).

Regarding to this issue, his side has asked PO bus management to refund fully all tickets bought by the passengers. It means, passengers who show AKAP bus ticket will be directed to the related PO bus management for full refund.

"For those who come to the terminal without showing bus ticket will be asked to return home," he added.
