The Jakarta Environment Agency officers has noted that 55.8 thousand tons of waste have been transported from locations affected by the flood on January 2-10.

Jakarta Environment Agency Head Andono Warih said the waste transported is disposed to the Bantargebang Landfill using dump trucks reaches 1,500 trips.

"Bantargebang prepares a special lane for dump trucks in order to smoothen and optimize waste transportation," he expressed, Monday (1/13).

To conduct waste transportation, the agency deploys thousands of dump trucks and hundreds of heavy equipment throughout the affected area to handle post-flood waste, including thousands of PPSU and taskforce members assisted by citizens.

"It is still being intensified the location returns clean, including in West Jakarta area such as Rawa Buaya, Duri Kosambi, Kedoya Utara, Kedoya Selatan, Duri Kepa and Cengkareng," he stated.
