The Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency (Sudinkes) keeps encouraging citizens to be aware of diseases during the rainy season. It is done through socialization to RPTRAs and urban village offices.
This is one of the efforts in maintaining health and preventing disease in the rainy season
"This is one of the efforts in maintaining health and preventing disease in the rainy season," expressed Thousand Islands Sudinkes Head, Herwin Meifendi, Thursday (1/9).
He explained they must continue to adopt clean and healthy living habits and consume nutritious food for having immunity.
"Healthy behavior can exercise, maintain environmental cleanliness and adequate nutrition for our bodies," he explained.
According to him, several diseases that need to be anticipated during the rainy season include DHF, leptospirosis, flu and fever.
Thereby health cadres must actively conduct socialization and Jumantik cadres routinely carry out the anti-mosquito campaign (PSN) and socialization to citizens to remind the importance of 3 M (Drain, Cover and Bury) plus recycle used goods that could potentially become a nest and breeding mosquitoes.
"Increasing vigilance is needed before illness comes to attack," he stressed.
