The Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, appreciated the Jakarta citizens and its surrounding areas who have helped provide aid and contribute to flood-stricken areas in Jakarta.

This speech was conveyed while inspecting flood victims in Semanan, Kalideres and Duri Kosambi urban villages, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Thursday (1/2) noon.
He stated that collaboration between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the community was urgently needed to help flood victims.
"I just did an inspection around the Hasyim Azhari Mosque, this is part of two urban villages, Semanan and Kosambi. I invite all of you to help flood victims by visiting posts that we will inform via our social media (instagram, facebook and website). We are also grateful for those of you who want to donate what aid is needed, especially food, drinks, basic needs for babies and parents. This is your chance to help in each other," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He went on to say that flood victims must be ensured safe, including its needs. While for areas that are safe from flood, the cleanliness should be maintained.
"Like here, many have not received help such as at Hasyim Azhari Mosque (refuge camp) with 1,000 victims. They need a lot of food, drinks, and this is now on its way. I had also a conversation with the West Jakarta Mayor to soon distribute it," he told.
He also ensured clean water supply would be distributed to all flood-stricken locations.
