North Jakarta Government plans to use bamboo basket as container of qurban (sacrificial animal) meat that will be distributed on Eid al-Adha 1440 Hijri.

"Our governor instructs us for not using plastic bags to distributes qurban meat. Thus we order 500 bamboo baskets for its container to replace plastic bag," explained Bayu Meghantara, Central Jakarta Mayor, Tuesday (7/30).

His side said bamboo basket is made from organic material thus it is environmentally friendly.

"Moreover, bamboo basket is considered more useful since it can be used to make other crafts,"  he mentioned.
