The mechanism discussion carried out by DPRD on bylaw draft has matched with applicable law
Yesterday or Thursday (8/21), Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) ratified 6 bylaw drafts become bylaw in the DPRD's Plenary Meeting period 2009-2014 where its validity period will expire on Monday (8/25). Its ratification was conducted unanimously by the representatives of the people which attended by Jakarta Governor, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo.
Taufik Azhar, a member of Golkar Fraction, stated those bylaw drafts had been through legal mechanism. "The mechanism discussion carried out by DPRD on bylaw draft has matched with applicable law," expressed Azahar in his speech during the reading of the sixth bylaw draft, Thursday (8/21).
Jakarta Governor, Jokowi thanked the leaders and council members because of they have agreed over ratification for 6 bylaw drafts into bylaw. "Hence, the executive has had law power and stronger foundation for improving performance in providing the best service for Jakartans," he expressed.
According to him, the regional-owned enterprises (BUMD)'s performance and contribution on local revenue (PAD) could be improved. In addition, it will also improve affect the performance of City Budget (APBD) and Jakarta Provincial Government organization in strengthening bureaucratic reforms, as well as public service.
"PT Transportasi Jakarta can improve the quality of public transport services through Transjakarta bus fleet," he uttered.
Jokowi added that bylaw ratification on PD Pasar Jaya is also able to advance and prosper traditional market's and peddler guidance.
Those 6 bylaw drafts that have been ratified are in terms of regional organizations, regulation on the second amendment over bylaw No. 12/2004 on capital investment for PT Jakarta Propertindo.
There are also amendment over bylaw No. 2/2009 on PD Pasar Jaya, bylaw on the second amendment over bylaw No. 1/1999 on the change in the legal form of PD DKI Bank to PT DKI Bank, amendment over bylaw No. 4/1991 on capital investment and PT Development Jaya Ancol establishment, and bylaw amendment No. 4/2014 on PT Transjakarta establishment.
