Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) pedestrian bridge (JPO), Bundaran Senayan JPO, and Polda Metro Jaya JPO which are currently being revitalized on Jalan Sudirman are expected to attract more tourists to visit Jakarta.

Revitalization is not only done to give more comfort to pedestrians who want to cross the road, but it also presents an artistic and modern ambience from its beautiful design and lighting.

Jakarta Bina Marga Department Head, Hari Nugroho conveyed, those pedestrian bridges are expected to be the new tourism alternative in Jakarta.

"Governor instructed us to make those JPOs comfortable, disabled-friendly and modern since it is planned to be one of Jakarta's icon," he stated, Saturday (2/2).

Those three JPOs are also equipped with lift and CCTV for pedestrian safety and comfort.

Currently, Bundaran Senayan JPO's revitalization has been completed, but revitalization progress in GBK JPO reaches 90 percent and 70 percent in Polda Metro Jaya JPO.

"Our target is to complete JPOs revitalization project by this month. We will launch it when it's finished," he said.
