Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan reminds all schools to be aware of dengue fever (DBD) during rainy season.
I instruct all schools to do preventive ways to anticipate DBD
"I instruct all schools to do preventive ways to anticipate DBD," he stated at City Hall, Thursday (1/24).
He wants all schools to handle puddles in school areas before it becomes a place for the yellow fever mosquito (aedes aegypti) to breed and spread dengue fever.
"This is important because it is often found to infect children at aged 13-15 years," he mentioned.
Currently his side is in the middle of compiling the Governor Instruction regarding DBD thus its handling in schools can run effectively.
"It will explain things need to be done in detail," he stated.
