North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. will add five more fire stations in inhabited islands of Seribu Islands. Those stations are needed to accelerate response time due to fire rescue.

We are planning to add five more stations this year

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head, Satriadi Gunawan said, currently Seribu Islands has three fire stations in Muara Angke, Karya Island, and Tidung Island.

"We are planning to add five more stations this year. In Untung Jawa Island, Lancang Island, Pari Island, Kelapa Island, and Sebira Island," he explained, Monday (1/15).

He mentioned, fire station in Kelapa Island will cover for Harapan Island and Kelapa Dua Island areas. Thus his side asked urban village to provide room for personnel.

"This room will be used for our personnel and to speed up response in case of fire accident happens," he added.
