The river normalization program accelerated by Jakarta Provincial Government starts to give result. It can be seen at Sekretaris river in Kedoya Utara, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. The river is cleaner and good looking.
The river looked dirty, especially during rainy season. But it’s getting cleaner
Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, as many as 30 Sub-dept. of Cleanliness freelancers are deployed by Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Water Division to clean the river.
The two kilometer river starting from Pesing Koneng Bridge up to Citraland Police Post is free from garbage.
Muhadi (53), local resident, said the river condition was not good looking.
“The river looked dirty, especially during rainy season. But it’s getting cleaner,” he said, Wednesday (8/3).
Ali Maulana Hakim, Jakarta Vice Dept. of Cleanliness, admitted 30 freelancers and 40 buoys are standby at the river.
