The East Jakarta Social Sub-agency has distributed basic needs assistance to fire survivors at the Pinus Elok Flats Block B3, Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung District.
The aid was provided a day after a fire engulfed the Pinus Elok Penggilingan low-cost apartment complex on Thursday (11/4). The distribution was a swift response from the government to the needs of residents affected by the disaster.
Meet the basic needs
Head of the Sub-agency, Agata Bayu Putra said aid was distributed based on a request from the Penggilingan Urban Village after the fire incident.
"There are seven types of assistance items provided to fire survivors," he said, Friday (11/6).
The aid provided consisted of three five-kilogram bags of rice, three bottles of sweet soy sauce, six packets of biscuits, six cans of sardines, three boxes of instant noodles, three pouches of cooking oil, and three natura goodie bags.
"Hopefully it can help meet the basic needs of affected residents, as well as ease their burden after experiencing the fire disaster," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of Penggilingan Urban Village, Juliansyah said this basic necessities assistance is very useful in helping to ease the burden on residents who are facing the impact of the fire.
