A total of 17 illegal buildings on Jalan Kompleks Pelindo II Pedongkelan, RT 03/RW 09, Cilincing Urban Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta were demolished by 75 joint personnel.

Head of Cilincing District's Satpol PP, Roslely Tambunan said her party had issued First Warning Letters (SP1) to SP3 in stages to the stall owners.

"Today's activity is the final step after all warning stages have been carried out persuasively," she said.

Roslely explained that the controlling aims to restore the function of public spaces so that they are organized and can be used according to their intended use.

"A total of 17 illegal buildings were demolished, 14 of which were food stalls, two stalls for storing scrap metal, and one stall for repairing tires," she explained.

She added that the activity involved various elements. To support the cleanup, officers deployed five joint trucks from the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Environmental Agency, the Water Resources Agency, the Parks and Urban Forestry Agency, and the Public Works Agency.

"All remaining demolition materials were immediately evacuated by officers," she added.

Meanwhile, Head of Cilincing Urban Village, Yuyun Yuniarti stated her party will follow up on the controlling by reorganizing the area through cross-sector coordination. This step is being taken to prevent the re-establishment of illegal buildings on the site.

"After this, we plan to build sidewalk facilities for pedestrians and normalize water channels so that environmental drainage functions optimally," she added.
