Jakarta is bracing for increased rainfall today, Thursday (10/29), as the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts conditions to pick up from midday through the afternoon.

The morning starts with light rain across all city municipalities, while thunderstorms are forecasted for Seribu Islands.

Moderate rain is expected in South Jakarta by early afternoon, alongside light showers in West Jakarta.

BMKG has issued a thunderstorm warning for Central, South, East, and North Jakarta during the late afternoon.

Into the evening, light rain is projected to settle over Central, West, and North Jakarta, alongside Seribu Islands.

Air temperatures in Jakarta range from 24–33 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching 97 percent.
