The South Jakarta administration is set to host Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda, Kebayoran Lama on Sunday (10/25). Beyond sports and fitness activities, residents can take advantage of various complimentary public services.
Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head Mustopa stated that Car Free Day on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda is being held again to support the Jakarta Running Festival in the Sudirman-Thamrin area.
Let us make our Car Free Day a success
"With high spirits and joy, I welcome all residents to join us and enliven South Jakarta’s municipal Car Free Day," he expressed, Friday (10/23).
The event is scheduled from 5:30 AM to 9 AM, spanning Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda between the Bungur and Kostrad intersections.
Mustopa highlighted CFD as a vital moment for locals to enjoy public spaces through healthy pursuits like walking, cycling, workout routines, and community bonding.
"CFD is still on, just relocated. It continues to provide a green space for exercise and community activities," he explained.
To ensure the event runs smoothly and comfortably for attendees, local district authorities and related agencies have set up official parking zones for private vehicles.
Designated parking spots are available along Jalan KH Syafi'i Hadzami, around Gandaria City, and near the Mercedes-Benz showroom.
"Hundreds of joint personnel are deployed to tackle illegal parking, keep order, and direct traffic around the venue," Mustopa added.
Free public services, including civil registration assistance, will be available during the event.
He urged attendees to maintain order and cleanliness throughout the morning.
"Let us make our Car Free Day a success. Please keep the environment clean and dispose of garbage properly," he said.
