The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) is finalizing preparations for the Jakarta Travel Fair (JTF) 2026 Business Forum, scheduled to take place across four Indonesian cities—Medan, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Padang—from late October to November 2026.

Initiated by the Jakarta administration through Disparekraf, the JTF 2026 Business Forum aims to promote city tourism, build business networks, and foster ties between local and regional tourism operators.

This event underscores our drive to promote Jakarta’s tourism

The event is expected to position Jakarta as a diverse destination featuring cultural, historical, and culinary experiences.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head Andhika Permata said the JTF Business Forum as a strategic vehicle for boosting Jakarta’s tourism outreach in partnership with regional stakeholders.

He noted that the gathering aims to facilitate business dialogue, share insights on tour packages, and pave the way for tangible business deals.

"This event underscores our drive to promote Jakarta’s tourism while forging stronger ties with other regions," he expressed, Friday (10/23).

Jakarta Marketing and Attraction Section Head Lucky Wulandari noted that a technical briefing is held to align sellers and buyers on the event structure and B2B meeting workflows, ensuring maximum output during the table-top sessions.

"By hosting this forum, we aim to bolster government-industry synergy, expand cross-regional trade, and spur both destination marketing and economic expansion for Jakarta," she emphasized.

The Jakarta Travel Fair 2026 Business Forum roadshow will span four cities: Medan on October 28–29, 2026; Balikpapan on November 4–5, 2026; Makassar on November 11–12, 2026; and Padang on November 18–19, 2026.

The itinerary is tailored to capture strategic market segments in each host city while amplifying Jakarta's tourism reach.

Meetings will be conducted through a two-day B2B table-top framework, creating a direct channel between Jakarta vendors and regional buyers—comprising tour operators, tourism stakeholders, corporate buyers, and institutional representatives.
