A total of 41 participants took part in the blood donation and free health check (CKG) activities at SMKN 67 Jakarta, Jalan Telaga, Pekayon Urban Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.
This social action is the result of collaboration between the School Committee and the University of Indonesia Hospital (RSUI) in commemoration of the 7th Anniversary of SMKN 67.
A drop of blood can really help people
Pekayon Urban Village Secretary, Karwadi, appreciated the School Committee's initiative in providing the social service activity.
According to him, blood donation activities are a form of concern for others because they can help people who need blood transfusions.
"A drop of blood can really help people who need a blood transfusion," he said, Wednesday (10/21).
He added that this activity is further enhanced by the CKG service, which involves the RSUI medical team. This service provides participants with the opportunity to check their health condition free of charge.
"Participants came from various elements, ranging from student representatives, teachers, school committees, to the surrounding community," he added.
Meanwhile, Chair of the Organizing Committee who is also Chair of the SMKN 67 Committee, Nur Aisah, explained that this was the first time the blood donation and CKG activities had been held.
"The free health services include bone examination, measuring vital signs in the form of blood pressure and pulse, as well as checking blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid levels," she explained.
