Serdang Urban Village officials in synergy with the Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Task Force, Monday (10/19), repair the 1.5 meter high fence along the Hitam River in front of the Kemayoran Sports Hall, which was damaged by a truck in early October.

Head of Serdang Urban Village, Suci Asliyati Slagai said the 60 meter long iron fence was to protect motor vehicles passing on Jalan Serdang Baru I.

When the iron fence collapsed after being hit by a truck, added Suci, her party immediately coordinated with the ranks of the SDA Sub-agency to handle it.

"For the safety and comfort of motorists, we replaced the iron fence with river stone retaining walls," she added.

Head of Kemayoran District's Water Resources Unit, Supriyadi explained his party replaced the iron fence on the side of the Hitam River with a 50 centimeter high river stone retaining wall.

"The work is carried out by seven blue troop personnel and is targeted for completion in early November," he admitted.
