The mobile veterinary clinic served 22 cats belonging to local residents at the RW 06, Gunung Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, South Jakarta.

It shows that we all care about animal health

Kebayoran Baru Sub-district Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture (KPKP) Unit Head Meilani explained that seven cats received rabies vaccinations, while the other 15 underwent health checkups, received treatment, and had biochemical and hematological blood tests.

"Residents have shown great enthusiasm for today's service, which opened this morning. A total of 18 cat owners have brought their pets in, with some bringing more than one cat for a health checkup," she said on Monday (10/19).

Meilani hoped residents would continue to use the mobile clinic, which aims to make animal health services more accessible to pet owners and animal lovers.

"We are happy to see residents taking advantage of this service. It shows that we all care about animal health," she added.

Gunung Urban Village Head Andika Eka Saputra said the service had drawn strong interest partly because the urban village administration and local community leaders had promoted it through social media and other channels.

"Since last week, we and local community leaders have been encouraging residents who own pets to bring them here for health checkups. Thankfully, the response has been quite good," he said.

Andika hoped the mobile veterinary clinic would continue to visit the area, with service locations changing each time. This would allow more residents to access animal health services.

"We would like to thank the KPKP Agency for providing affordable and easily accessible animal health services here," he said.
