strengthen oversight and provide adequate supporting facilities
Yuke encouraged the South Jakarta Health Sub-agency to not only rely on appeals, but also actively assist the community in efforts to prevent and treat dengue fever.
"The 1,314 cases are not just statistics, but a serious warning to us all. I urge the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Health Agency to not only delegate responsibility for prevention to the public, but also to strengthen oversight and provide adequate supporting facilities," she said, Wednesday (10/14).
She also emphasized the importance of consistently implementing the 3M Plus Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) and the One House One Mosquito Swamp Mosquito Net (Jumantik) movement. She stated that the active involvement of neighborhood unit (RT) and community unit (RW) heads, urban village heads, and district heads is essential for effective prevention efforts and not simply become routine activities.
"Don't let this program just be a formality," she emphasized.
In addition to strengthening prevention, Yuke stated that the South Jakarta Health Sub-agency is optimizing mosquito control in areas prone to transmission, including through fogging as needed and indicated in the field.
Yuke also highlighted the readiness of health facilities such as community health centers and regional general hospitals (RSUD) in South Jakarta.
"We will continue to monitor the handling of dengue fever, including the availability of treatment rooms, medical facilities, and medicines so that infected residents can receive prompt and adequate treatment," she stated.
