Efforts by West Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency to relocate overhead utility cables along Jalan Benda Raya in Kalideres are underway, with officials targeting a December completion date.

West Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency Head Ilham Raya stated the project aims to eliminate public safety hazards and urban visual clutter following Jakarta Bylaw No. 8/2025 on municipal utility placement.

"We're dedicated to fostering a cleaner, safer, and more orderly environment across West Jakarta," he expressed, Monday (10/12).

Aside that, his sub-agency is collaborating with the Association of Indonesian Telecommunication Network Providers (APJATEL) as the infrastructure owner.

West Jakarta Utility and Street Lighting Section Head Abdul Jabbar noted that the overhead cable relocation on Jalan Benda Raya spans 2,500 meters.

"Work is currently entering the cable bundling and undergrounding phase," he stated.
