The Jakarta Transportation Agency is set to roll out a collaborative initiative dubbed "Gebrak Pagi" (Morning Crackdown on Congestion) on Monday (10/12).

The program steps up traffic oversight by deploying transport officials and personnel directly to high-density bottlenecks during the morning commute, operating under the rallying cry of "Present on the Streets, Ensuring Smooth Transit.

The goal is making commutes smoother, safer, and easier for everyone

Jakarta Transportation Head Budi Awaluddin said "Gebrak Pagi" aims to speed up responses to traffic jam through direct field monitoring.

The initiative runs Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 AM to 8 AM. It mobilizes top transit officials, staff, and 1,420 PJLP personnel.

Those personnel will cover high-density traffic points across all five of Jakarta's administrative cities to monitor flow and clear jam.

"We want officials seeing real-time road conditions, identifying bottlenecks, and coordinating fixes on the spot. The goal is making commutes smoother, safer, and easier for everyone," he expressed, Sunday (10/11).

Budi added shifts and duties are scheduled so daily agency operations and public service tasks run as usual.

Personnel are urging drivers to keep traffic moving by following rules, avoiding illegal parking, and obeying field personnel.

"Gebrak Pagi reaffirms our commitment to working directly on the ground alongside residents to keep Jakarta moving," he stated.
