Looking for a job? The 2026 East Jakarta Career Fest and MSME Bazaar is offering 2,000 job openings from 37 private firms and three job training centers at the Pulo Gadung Youth Center on Jalan Raya Pemuda, Rawamangun Urban Village, Pulo Gadung Sub-district.
East Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development, Fauzi, stated that the second phase of the 2026 East Jakarta Career Fest and Bazaar drew strong enthusiasm from job seekers.
It’s a space to build valuable professional networks and create new opportunities
“This fair is about more than just submitting resumes—it’s a space to build valuable professional networks and create new opportunities,” he expressed, Tuesday (10/6).
He encouraged job seekers to make the most of the vocational training centers run by the Jakarta government to sharpen their skills.
“Equipping oneself with better skills serves as a vital asset to stay competitive in the job market,” he pointed out.
Sunjaya, who heads the East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-agency, highlighted the fair as a key initiative to open wider career doors for local job seekers.
The fair is backed by the City Budget (APBD) with the goal of building an inclusive, fair, safe, and sustainable job market for all.
“We launched this because unemployment in East Jakarta remains a serious issue, and people need direct access to job vacancies,” he stated.
With entry to formal employment still posing a hurdle for many, the agency is stepping up to bridge the gap and boost local economic empowerment.
“Don’t miss out—the job fair runs until tomorrow, from 10 AM to 4 PM,” he added.
He mentioned that there are also various services, including inspirational talk shows, an MSME bazaar and exhibition of fostered products, Disability Service Unit (ULD) services, the Jakarta government's Job Portal via Karier Jakarta, and the processing of AK1 cards or Job Seeker Cards.
“There are also Jakarta Entrepreneur consultations, a mobile library, Digital Population Identity (IKD) services, and free health screening services,” he added.
Dea Indrias, a 23-year-old vocational high school graduate in administration, shared how much the fair helped her job hunt.
“Big thanks to the East Jakarta City administration for hosting this job fair. It made it so much easier to find companies that match my skills. I really hope to secure a job soon to support myself and my family,” she admitted.
She added that the job fair makes the job hunt far more efficient. Job seekers no longer have to travel from company to company just to drop off resumes with no guarantee of an interview—sparing them significant transportation costs, time, and effort.
“Through a career fest like this, we can engage directly with our target employers,” she emphasized.
