As many as 10,000 participants consisting of elementary school to high school students and residents, took part in enlivening the People's Sports Festival (FOR) at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Sunday (10/4).
The activity was opened by the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung by pressing the siren button, accompanied by the Head of the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Andri Yansyah, the Mayor of East Jakarta Munjirin, and the Chair of the Indonesian Community Recreational Sports Committee (KORMI) for Jakarta, Diana Dewi.

Pramono said that the large number of participants who took part in this activity showed that Jakarta was safe, comfortable, and everything was going well.
He also pushed Jakarta to truly become a magnitude or epicenter of various sporting, arts, cultural, automotive, and other events.
"I would like to thank the KORMI management. The Jakarta government fully supports this activity," said Pramono.
Pramono hopes that Jakarta can be the overall champion at the National People's Sports Festival (Fornas) in Palu, Central Sulawesi, in 2027.
For him, this folk sport is enjoyable because the participants take part in it with joy and can get to know each other.
"This is a truly popular activity," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency, Andri Yansyah explained that participants will compete in six sports, namely Aerobic Gymnastics with 1,000 participants, Creative Gymnastics with 1,700 participants, Drum Band competition with 2,500 participants, Traditional Sports with 1,500 participants and Street Soccer Competition with 300 participants.
For the traditional sports category, there are 10 events being competed, namely the Mixed Short Sandals Team and the Men's Gebok Ball Team, which are participated by elementary school students.
Next, junior high school students and their equivalents will participate in the Mixed Long Sandal Competition, the Boys and Girls Blowpipe Competition, and the Mixed Long Sandal Competition for high school students and their equivalents.
Then the Boys' and Girls' Beam Race, Boys' and Girls' Stilts, participated by all elementary, middle and high school students.
"The winners will receive prizes in the form of trophies and certificates for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and a sum of development money," he explained.
