The Makasar Sub-district Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture (KPKP) Implementing Unit in East Jakarta has vaccinated 1,491 rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) between January and September 30, 2026.
Makasar Sub-district KPKP Executing Unit Head Bambang Priyo Sembodo revealed that the program has beaten its original goal of 1,400 animals.

"Shots have been given in Halim Perdanakusuma, Pinang Ranti, Makasar, and Kebon Pala, with Cipinang Melayu on the schedule for this month," he expressed, Friday (10/2).
Detailing the data, he shared that Kebon Pala Urban Village recorded 391 vaccinated pets, which included 74 dogs, 312 cats, three civets, and two monkeys.
In Halim Perdanakusuma Urban Village, 643 animals have been immunized, covering 65 dogs and 578 cats.
"As for Pinang Ranti, 193 animals were vaccinated—made up of 61 dogs, 129 cats, one civet, and two monkeys. Lastly, Makasar Urban Village reached 264 vaccinated animals, broken down into 39 dogs, 224 cats, and one monkey," he added.
He noted that four personnel from the East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency and the Makasar Sub-district KPKP Unit were assigned to manage every vaccination point.
"We used an active mobile service system, with locations usually set up right at the local neighborhood unit (RW) secretariat," he explained.
Alongside the vaccination drive, Bambang shared that personnel educated the public on Regional Regulation Number 11/1995 on Rabies Control and Animal Supervision in Jakarta.
"We take various steps to safeguard animal health and protect owners. Keeping Jakarta rabies-free is a status we must maintain," he added.
This mobil vaccination received appreciation from Lukman, one of the locals from RW 02, Kebon Pala Urban Village.
"Thank you for routinely carrying out animal vaccinations by bringing services closer to the residents," he concluded.
