Jakarta Social Agency has rolled out the September 2026 allocation of the Basic Needs Social Assistance (PKD) under the Jakarta Child Card (KAJ), Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), and Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Card (KPDJ) schemes.

The funds were distributed on Friday (9/25), to eligible recipients who successfully passed periodic data verification and cross-checking. The latest verification recorded 219,252 total beneficiaries, broken down into 171,010 KLJ recipients, 27,352 KAJ recipients, and 20,890 KPDJ recipients.

Jakarta Social Agency Head Iqbal Akbarudin, said that the recipients of the latest payout are existing beneficiaries who cleared data matching and were declared eligible.

"Funds for existing beneficiaries were disbursed on September 25, 2026," he expressed, Tuesday (9/29).

He noted that under Gubernatorial Decree No. 907/2026 on the Third Amendment to Gubernatorial Decree No. 160/2026, the total number of PKD social assistance beneficiaries for 2026 was set at 219,252.

This figure comprises 216,990 existing beneficiaries, 2,262 new beneficiaries, and three beneficiaries from a previous ATM card distribution who received aid for only one month (in August 2026).

He explained that for new beneficiaries, bank accounts will be opened and ATM cards distributed before the assistance is disbursed.

"This is done to ensure the aid is well-targeted and distributed in an accountable manner," he explained.

Iqbal further noted that beneficiary selection is conducted transparently and accountably, based on prevailing regulations as well as data assessments from multiple sources, including on-site verification.

His agency remains committed to ensuring that social assistance is well-targeted through regular data updates and collaboration with various stakeholders. Hopefully, this aid could help ease the burden and meet the basic needs of those in need.

"Jakarta continues its commitment to maintaining transparency and data precision in disbursing social aid. May this assistance help alleviate burdens and provide meaningful support for children, seniors, and persons with disabilities in need throughout Jakarta," he concluded.
