Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism & SMEs Expo (JITEX) 2026 recorded potential business-to-business (B2B) transactions and investment worth Rp15.1 trillion.

The figure was one of the main results of the four-day business matching event, held from September 16-19, 2026, at the JIEXPO Convention Centre and Trade Mart Building in Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo welcomed the Rp15.1 trillion in potential transactions and investment recorded at JITEX 2026, saying it reflected the opportunities created when businesses, buyers, investors, the government, and business partners come together in one ecosystem.

"The Rp15.1 trillion in potential investment shows that JITEX 2026 has created significant opportunities for business connections. The challenge now is to ensure that the opportunities created actually lead to economic activities that have an impact on Jakarta's economy," she said on Tuesday (9/22).

Ratu noted that JITEX 2026 also recorded Rp2.4 billion in direct B2C transactions, involving 275 companies and brands from Indonesia and abroad.

She explained that the business matching and buyer programs also gave Jakarta businesses opportunities to explore partnerships with potential partners from various countries. The meetings are expected to help businesses in Jakarta expand their markets and create export opportunities.

"What we are building is business connections. Some businesses are looking for markets, buyers are looking for products, and investors are looking for opportunities. When they meet, that's when the economy can move," she emphasized.

Ratu said several international events were also part of JITEX 2026, including the ATTEC Global Investment Forum and Asia Food and Ecosystem Summit. The two events brought together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss investment and trade opportunities, as well as the development of the food and business ecosystem.

In addition to trade and investment, JITEX 2026 also highlighted the cultural and tourism sectors as part of Jakarta's economic potential. Their inclusion expanded opportunities for collaboration among businesses, the government, communities, and domestic and international partners.

Ratu stressed the need to follow up on the Rp15.1 trillion in potential transactions and investment after JITEX ends. She expressed hope that the opportunities created would lead to concrete partnerships and business activities.

"We want to continue supporting and developing the networks established through JITEX 2026 so that businesses and Jakarta's economy can benefit from them over the long term," she added.

JITEX 2026 was organized by the Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with the Asian Trade, Tourism and Economics Council (ATTEC) and the Indonesian Shopping Center Tenants and Retailers Association (HIPPINDO). The event carried the theme "IGNITE THE ECONOMY" as a foundation for fostering continued economic activity in Jakarta.

Over its four-day run, JITEX served as a platform for businesses to connect with buyers, investors, business associations, the government, and international partners through various activities, including trade exhibitions, business matching, investment forums, trade forums, networking programs, and buyer programs.
