Clarifying Governor Pramono Anung’s call to partner with Danantara for the Manggarai–Dukuh Atas LRT line, Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno framed the move as a collaborative effort proving Jakarta is a shared asset.

"As the President pointed out, Jakarta belongs to the entire nation. With that in mind, we're bringing in Danantara, which has merged BUMNs into a powerful investment vehicle," he expressed, Tuesday (9/22).

Rano hoped that Danantara would back the financing for the proposed Manggarai–Dukuh Atas LRT extension.

He believes adding this route will drive up passenger traffic for LRT Jakarta, which currently links Kelapa Gading to Manggarai.

Nevertheless, he stressed that extending the network aims beyond boosting transit numbers—it is about delivering a reliable public service.

"Our core focus isn't strictly on passenger volume. We want public transport to genuinely become the go-to choice for people across Jakarta," he asserted.
