The Maritime Festival 2026, held on September 19–20, 2026, at the Kelapa Island Soccer Field, North Seribu Islands Regency, featured a dynamic lineup of marine sports, cultural arts showcases, and environmental conservation activities.

Seribu Islands Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan, stated hat the festival showcased an exciting lineup of events—ranging from stand-up paddleboarding and speedboat racing to marine sports exhibitions and live music.

He emphasized that the festival offered the perfect opportunity to promote and elevate the region's marine, tourism, cultural, and creative economy potential.

"This event is more than just entertainment; it's a platform to boost our marine potential and creative economy. The Seribu Islands play a crucial role in Jakarta's future," he expressed, Sunday (9/20).

Hosting the festival on Kelapa and Harapan islands, he explained, was a prime opportunity to introduce visitors to the charm of local tourism and the vibrant rhythm of coastal life.

He expressed hope that local entrepreneurs, communities, creative minds, and the youth would harness the event as a springboard to showcase their talents and boost local development.

"Let’s keep our islands welcoming, clean, safe, and green so the Seribu Islands shines as a friendly, vibrant, and sustainable destination for everyone," he added.

Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head, Fahmi Ardi Ramlan, shared that this year's Maritime Festival joined forces with the Seribu Islands Abang None Association 2026 program.

He highlighted how the partnership seamlessly blended youth creativity with cultural arts, tourism, local enterprise, and eco-consciousness.

"Through Gema Seribu, our Abang and None ambassadors delivered captivating artistic performances—giving them a creative stage while showcasing the region's rich cultural roots," he shared.

Beyond the artistic performances, Fahmi highlighted that local tourism providers were upskilled through the Excellence Host Program, which delivered hands-on hospitality and marketing training to homestay owners.

"These efforts are all about elevating local talent and delivering a top-notch experience for everyone visiting the Seribu Islands," he added.

He added that the festival featured the Sustainable Island initiative under the theme Restore the Planet, Restore the Future, inviting participants to roll up their sleeves for beach cleanups and mangrove planting to protect local shorelines.

"This event is about more than just fun and leisure—it combines learning, community empowerment, creative growth, better hospitality, and true environmental care," he highlighted.
