A total of 3,000 job vacancies are being offered at Job Connect 2026, a job fair organized by the Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency at the Pertamina Meeting Building in Cempaka Putih from Tuesday (9/15) to Wednesday (9/16).
The unemployment rate continuing to decline
Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin said the event reflects the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to reducing the city's open unemployment rate.
"The results can be seen every year, with the unemployment rate continuing to decline," Arifin said on Tuesday (9/15).
Arifin added that the Job Connect 2026 also offers 40 positions specifically for job seekers with disabilities.
"This job fair offers 3,000 job vacancies from 38 companies, including 40 positions specifically for people with disabilities," Arifin noted.
Arifin stressed that the Jakarta Provincial Government provides opportunities for everyone to work, including people with disabilities.
"Many companies already employ people with disabilities," he said.
Ridwan, 32, a job seeker with a disability, hoped to find a cleaning service position through the job fair.
He said he had seven years of work experience as an office boy at a health center in the Matraman area.
"I found out about the job fair through social media and came here looking for a cleaning service job. I hope I can get hired," he said.
