PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is stepping up efforts to improve public services through strategic collaboration with public transport operators in Jakarta.
Ensuring smooth, coordinated, and uninterrupted journeys for passengers from bus stops to train stations
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen business continuity and emergency response in Jakarta's public transportation system.
PT Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza said the MoU represents a concrete implementation of the company's strategic 3S pillars: Service, Strategic Partnership, and Sustainability.
The collaboration, he added, marks an important milestone in building a stronger, more comfortable, and safer integrated public transport ecosystem for millions of customers each day.
"Customer comfort and safety are our top priorities. Through this strategic partnership, Transjakarta and other operators are committed to ensuring smooth, coordinated, and uninterrupted journeys for passengers from bus stops to train stations," he said Tuesday (8/18).
Welfizon emphasized that the collaboration is becoming increasingly important as public transport services become more integrated. Transjakarta is now connected to 74 intermodal transport facilities and serves an average of 1.5 million customers a day, he said.
"With its flexible bus network connecting various rail-based modes, Transjakarta plays an active role as an integrator. This cooperation ensures that integration is not only physical but also operational, creating a resilient, reliable, and seamless travel experience for everyone," he noted.
Welfizon also expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Provincial Government, particularly the Transportation Agency, for its guidance and full support in making the collaboration possible.
"With this synergy, we believe we can build a stronger, more comfortable, and sustainable transportation system in Jakarta, in line with the city's vision as a progressive global city," he said.
The MoU outlines four key areas of collaboration:
1. Strengthening Intermodal Coordination
Ensuring seamless connectivity and synchronized schedules between Transjakarta buses and various rail-based services.
2. Accelerating Information Sharing
Enabling real-time information sharing to allow for quick and accurate service adjustments.
3. Support Mechanisms
Establishing joint procedures to support service operations during passenger surges or when additional vehicles are required.
4. Improving Preparedness and Response
Strengthening all operators' ability to provide quick, coordinated, and effective responses to developments on the ground.
