The Jakarta Provincial Government and the Indonesian Civil Servants Corps (KORPRI) held an HPV vaccination drive for civil servants and their families at the MH Thamrin Hall, Jakarta City Hall, on Tuesday (8/18).

Part of KORPRI's One Million HPV Vaccines for Civil Servants and Families program

Jakarta Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto said the vaccination was part of KORPRI's One Million HPV Vaccines for Civil Servants and Families program, an initiative to help prevent cervical cancer.

"On this occasion, I would like to thank Prof. Zudan for taking the time to review and see firsthand the vaccination being carried out within the Jakarta Provincial Government," Uus said.

The HPV vaccination program for Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants is being carried out in stages, with 275 participants targeted in the initial phase.

He hoped that all civil servants within the Jakarta Provincial Government, as well as their families, would take part in the program.

Uus also expressed his appreciation to the Central KORPRI and medical personnel from the city government for supporting the program. He said HPV vaccination is important to help protect civil servants' health and improve their well-being.

"Cervical cancer is preventable," he stressed.

Zudan said that the HPV vaccination program would continue to expand nationwide until it reaches its target of one million civil servants and their families.

"The KORPRI program is a collaboration among KORPRI organizations across Indonesia, the Health Ministry, and partners committed to preventing cervical cancer," he noted.
