A total of 110 students from SMPN 156 Jakarta, Jalan Kramat Pulo Gundul III, Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, received education about the dangers of drug abuse and efforts to prevent its distribution.

Drugs pose a serious threat

This activity was organized by the Central Jakarta National Unity and Politics Sub-agency (Kesbangpol) and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Jakarta Province on Wednesday (8/12).

Acting Head of Central Jakarta National Unity and Politics Sub-agency, Rachmat Hidayat said it is important to conduct socialization so that students are informed about the prevention and eradication of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking (P4GN) within the school environment.

"Drugs pose a serious threat to the future of the younger generation; therefore, prevention efforts must begin early through education, campaigns, and the setting of a good example by teachers, parents, and community leaders," he said.

Rachmat added that this program serves as a bulwark protecting the nation's next generation of students against the threat of drug abuse.

Sarwono, the Principal of SMPN 156 Jakarta, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Central Jakarta Kesbangpol Sub-agency and the Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNN) for organizing this session.

He hopes that, after participating in this educational session, his students will be able to avoid drug abuse.

"We hope our students are aware of the dangers of drug use and can avoid it," he hoped.
