As many as seven personnel of Cipayung District's Water Resources Unit, East Jakarta are deployed to revitalize water channel on Jalan Suhud, RT 06/08, Munjul Urban Village.

Head of the Unit, Dian Kartika said the revitalization is a follow-up to a proposal made by residents through the Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang).

"Drainage channel capacity needs to be increased to prevent potential inundation during the rainy season. The existing channel, with a width of only around 20–25 centimeters, is considered inadequate to handle the volume of water," she said, Tuesday (8/11).

Dian explained the revitalized channel spans approximately 85 meters. The revitalization work utilized 50-centimeter U-ditches and involved seven personnel.

"The revitalization began on July 23, 2026, and is targeted for completion on September 19. The work progress has reached approximately 30 percent," she explained.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 08, Munjul Urban Village, Maidi Syahrial appreciated the unit for responding to residents' requests.

"During the rainy season, there is always pooling water about 10–15 centimeters deep, as the existing drainage channel is small," he admitted.

He hopes that the completion of the drainage channel revitalization on Jalan Suhud will effectively prevent inundation, especially during heavy rain.
