Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno ensures that tax services and the Transportation Agency (Dishub) Command Center remain fully operational following the fire at the Abdul Muis Technical Building, Central Jakarta.

During his site visit on Sunday (8/9), Rano was accompanied by the heads of the Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat), Communication and Informatics (Kominfotik), Human Resources Development (BPSDM), and Regional Revenue (Bapenda) agencies, as well as Vice Mayor of Central Jakarta.

We're still waiting for the investigation results

Regarding the cause of the fire, the Jakarta government is currently awaiting the official results of the police investigation.

"We're still waiting for the investigation results and the crime scene processing from the police," Rano expressed.

The Jakarta government has prepared contingency plans for approximately 1,000 civil servants affected by the fire at the Technical Office Building.

"Governor Pramono has instructed the implementation of Work From Anywhere (WFA) or temporary relocation to other administrative branch offices to ensure that public services continue to run optimally," he explained.

Tax services remain fully operational as the Jakarta Bapenda utilizes a robust digital backup system. Meanwhile, as the traffic control room on the 16th floor was impacted, the CCTV dashboard and Command Center will be relocated to the Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) in MT Haryono.

"During this recovery period, traffic management will be handled manually. The Transportation Agency will deploy officers to priority intersections and areas prone to congestion," he concluded.
