From January to July 2026, the West Jakarta Health Sub-agency recorded 548 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the Cengkareng District. This figure is the highest among the eight districts in West Jakarta.

Head of the Sub-agency, Sahruna explained that across the eight districts, there was a total of 1,538 cases of dengue fever between January and July 2026.

The highest number of incidents occurred in the Cengkareng District, with 548 cases. This was followed by the Kalideres District with 361 cases, then Kebon Jeruk 160 cases, Kembangan 111 cases, and Palmerah 107 cases.

Next are Grogol Petamburan District has 97 cases, Tambora has 90 cases, and finally, the Taman Sari District has recorded 64 cases.

"We will strengthen efforts to periodically monitor incidence rates and the speed of transmission in the field," he said, Wednesday (8/5).

Furthermore, Sahruna added, rapid intervention measures are also being immediately implemented through epidemiological investigations and the strengthening of the PSN 3M Plus campaign.

Furthermore, health promotion regarding the dangers of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever will be intensified to raise public awareness. It is hoped that this will encourage the community to independently and regularly monitor for mosquito larvae in their homes and neighborhoods.

"Early detection of mosquito larvae is a crucial factor in addressing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever cases. Therefore, we hope for the community's active participation in independently monitoring for larvae in their own homes," he emphasized.
