The Jakarta Legislative Council’s Budget Committee (Banggar) and the Jakarta government’s Budget Team (TAPD) have reached a consensus on the General Budget Policy and Provisional Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS) for the 2027 Fiscal Year. The agreed-upon budget framework is set at Rp 82,889,198,794,375, or approximately Rp 82.8 trillion.
Jakarta Legislative Council Chairman, Suhud Alynudin sought the formal approval of all Banggar members regarding the outcome of the 2027 KUA-PPAS deliberations.
Can the results of the 2027 Fiscal Year KUA-PPAS discussions be approved?
"For the sake of validity, I ask once more: can the results of the 2027 Fiscal Year KUA-PPAS discussions be approved?" Suhud inquired during the committee meeting on Tuesday (8/4) night.
"Agreed," the members responded in unison.
He explained that the results of the 2027 KUA-PPAS deliberations will proceed to a Joint Leadership Meeting (Rapimgab) between the legislative and the executive before being finalized through a formal signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoU).
"As we are all aware, the Banggar and the executive branch have concluded their review of the draft for the 2027 Fiscal Year," he added.
The MoU for the KUA-PPAS is slated to be signed during a plenary session on Wednesday (8/12), following the decision made during the Legislative Council's Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting on July 28, 2026.
