Highlighting Jakarta’s robust infrastructure, he has already ordered the Youth and Sports Agency to give older facilities a much-needed upgrade.

"I hope Jakarta’s sports facilities can serve as the heartbeat of Indonesia’s sport tourism," he shared.

He also expressed his gratitude to the board of Pelti Jakarta (Indonesian Lawn Tennis Association) for organizing the tournament, which drew hundreds of athletes from 23 provinces across Indonesia.

"I hope this championship can produce outstanding athletes to be prepared for the National Sports Week (PON) and international competitions, thus the sport of tennis gains global recognition," he explained.

Pelti Jakarta Chairman, Hari Nugroho, explained that the Governor's Cup Tennis Tournament 2026, running from July 27 to August 2, features 322 tennis players from various provinces across Indonesia.
