The South Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency has successfully pruned 64 trees that were broken and prone to falling in the Kebayoran Lama and Pesanggrahan areas.

We did it directly in two districts

Head of the sub-agency, Herlina Merinda said the cuts were made to follow up on complaints from residents via the Community Quick Response (CRM) application that have been received recently.

"We send personnel to the field to see the area conditions and also the condition of the tree, to ensure that pruning goes well and according to the provisions," she said.

Herlina explained that her party deployed more than 50 personnel and ladder trucks from each City Park and Forestry Implementation Unit (Satpel) in each district.

His team successfully pruned 64 fallen trees, including 22 in the Kebayoran Lama area and 42 in Pesanggrahan.

"Apart from being splintered and prone to falling, there are also trees whose branches have blocked the lighting and are lying across aerial cables, making them potentially dangerous," she explained.

Meanwhile, Rohim (46), one of the residents, appreciated the follow-up to residents' suggestions regarding trees hanging over the road and blocking lighting, especially on Jalan Kostrad Raya, Petukangan Utara, Pesanggrahan.

"The response was excellent. We didn't have to wait long, and the trees were immediately addressed," he admitted.
