The East Jakarta Social Services Sub-agency provided a number of aids to fire survivors on Jalan Pulomas Utara II B RT 08/14, Kayu Putih Urban Village, Pulogadung, Thursday (7/30).

Head of the Sub-agency, Agata Bayu Putra said a number of aid packages were provided following a request from the urban village. The Kayu Putih urban village head, along with the local RT and RW officials, symbolically received the aid at the RW secretariat.

"There are seven items of in-kind assistance that we are providing to survivors of the Kayu Putih fire," he said.

The aid included five-kilogram packages of rice, instant noodles, two-liter packages of cooking oil, one box or bag of sweet soy sauce, and goodie bags. Two packs of biscuits and two cans of sardines were also distributed.

Head of Kayu Putih Urban Village, Tuti Sugihastuti admitted this assistance is very useful for residents who are facing disaster.

"Local residents also provided cash assistance in the amount of Rp 43.7 million. The assistance was immediately given to the victim's family," she admitted.
