The East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) has launched a two-day Career Fest at GOR Ciracas on Jalan Raya Bogor in Ciracas Sub-district, East Jakarta, bringing together 37 companies and offering more than 2,000 job vacancies. 

The event, held on July 28-29, 2026, was officially opened by East Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development, Fauzi.

Fauzi said Career Fest serves not only as a meeting point for job seekers and employers, but also as a platform to match workforce skills with the current needs of industry.

According to him, the participation of 37 companies is expected to help connect local job seekers with employment opportunities. The event also includes vacancies specifically reserved for persons with disabilities.

"Career Fest is intended for job seekers, university students, vocational high school students and graduates, university graduates, as well as persons with disabilities seeking employment opportunities," he stated on Tuesday (7/28).

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy (Nakertransgi) Sub-agency Head Sunjaya said the event has attracted strong public interest. As of Tuesday (7/28), a total of 3,190 job seekers had registered online.

He added that five of the 37 participating companies offer positions specifically for persons with disabilities. In addition to private companies, the event also features participation from state-owned and regionally owned enterprises.

"The number of job seekers who have registered online has reached 3,190. This reflects the strong public enthusiasm for the job fair," he said.

Sunjaya explained that Career Fest was organized to provide residents with information about employment opportunities while promoting job placements to help reduce unemployment in East Jakarta.

The event also gives companies an opportunity to recruit workers who meet their needs, while enabling job seekers to find positions that match their skills, interests, and qualifications.

"The event targets job seekers, workers affected by layoffs, vocational high school and university graduates across Jakarta, including persons with disabilities," he noted.

In addition to offering more than 2,000 job vacancies, Career Fest features several vocational training centers in East Jakarta, including PPKPI, PPKPLas, and the East Jakarta Job Training Center (PPKD).

"The participation of these training centers is expected to provide residents with information about opportunities to improve their skills and competencies. Career Fest also features a bazaar with 10 Jakpreneurs," he said.

Meanwhile, Aini (19), one of the attendees, said she came to Career Fest to explore job and internship opportunities related to her field of study.

The third-semester student at the State University of Jakarta (UNJ) hopes the experience she gains while still in college will prepare her for the workforce after graduation.

"I'm making use of my semester break. Hopefully, this will give me valuable experience before I enter the workforce," she said.
