The revitalization of the water channel on Jalan Menteng Atas Dalam, RT 11/06, Menteng Atas Urban Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta has been completed by the Blue Troops of the South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency.

Head of South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency, Santo said personnel replaced the old channel with a 40 centimeter U-ditch to increase capacity and smooth water flow.

Revitalization of the channel began on July 9, 2026, with a length of approximately 30 meters. The work was carried out manually by five Blue Troop personnel.

"We strive to always provide fast, effective, and sustainable services. We hope our work has a positive impact on our residents," he said, Tuesday (7/28).

Head Section of Drainage Maintenance of the South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency, Junjung Paulus stated every report received is first verified by conducting a field survey before being followed up.

"We conducted a field survey first," he stated.

He explained that reports are processed in stages based on the results of the field survey, the level of urgency, and the availability of personnel from the SDA Sub-agency.

"If the personnel in the field are complete, we will definitely handle it immediately," he explained.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Wahyunar hoped the new channel is able to overcome the problem of flooding and prevent water from overflowing due to the channel being clogged with rubbish.

"On behalf of the residents, I am very grateful for the swift response of the SDA. We want to prevent further flooding and overflowing water due to trash-clogged drains. This new drain must be maintained and cared for together," he admitted.
