The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) has dispatched seven personnel to repair a drainage channel on Jalan Petamburan 3, Gg. Paksi RT 02/RW 04, Tanah Abang.

Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari stated that the 300-meter drainage system is being normalized using 40x40x120 cm U-ditch concrete liners.

"Construction began on July 22 and is targeted for completion by early September," she expressed, Monday (7/27).

The normalization addresses resident concerns over the existing channel’s inability to handle water volume due to narrowing.

"The old drains were too small and lacked proper reinforcement, which frequently led to flooding during heavy rain," she explained.

The repair received appreciation from Solikin (43), a resident from Jalan Petamburan 3 Gg. Paksi.

"We hope this puts an end to the flooding, as the drainage system can now handle water in large quantities," she stated.
