This is a preventive measure to mitigate flood risks
"This is a preventive measure to mitigate flood risks ahead of the upcoming rainy season," he expressed, Monday (7/27).
He explained that personnel regularly clean drains prone to waterlogging, as silt and trash buildup often prevent them from functioning optimally.
"We hope this will minimize flooding when the rains arrive," he added.
He further called for community support in maintaining environmental hygiene and urged residents to stop throwing trash into the drains.
"Today, personnel are clearing any remaining residue and cleaning up spills from yesterday’s dredging operation," he concluded.
