The Ciracas Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit is revitalizing the drainage system on Jalan Subur, Susukan, East Jakarta.
Spanning 72 meters, this work uses 60x60 cm U-ditches and box culverts equipped with concrete covers. This infrastructure upgrade is slated for completion by September 2026.
This upgrade is essential to significantly increase its capacity
Ciracas SDA Task Force Coordinator, Deby stated that the project commenced on July 9, 2026, with seven personnel deployed to the site.
"Progress has currently reached 25 percent, and we are on track to finish by early September," he expressed, Friday (7/24).
He explained that the revitalization follows up on community proposals submitted during the Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) 2025.
"The existing drainage was undersized, using only 30-centimeter concrete pipes. This upgrade is essential to significantly increase its capacity," he clarified.
The work received appreciation from one of the locals from RT 16/04, Susukan Urban Village, Nurjanah (42).
"We hope this infrastructure will operate optimally and keep floods at bay," she hoped.
