The 2026 SEA V Cup was officially held at the Jakarta International Velodrome, East Jakarta, marking the start of the competition between the six best men's national volleyball teams in Southeast Asia.

The tournament, which will run until July 26, 2026, is organized by the Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) together with the Central Board of the All-Indonesia Volleyball Association (PBVSI) with the support of the Jakarta Provincial Government, as part of an effort to present an international sporting event that can strengthen Jakarta's position as a sports tourism destination in the region.

A total of six countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, and Myanmar, will compete for the championship title during the five-day competition.

Jakarta Experience Board Director Yunn Bali Mohammad Yusuf said that the 2026 SEA V Cup is part of JXB's commitment to presenting international events that have a real impact on Jakarta.

This tournament not only features top-notch matches, but also expected to positively impact the tourism, hospitality, transportation, MSMEs, and regional economies by increasing the number of visits by residents and tourists.

"The 2026 SEA V Cup is not only a sporting competition, but also a chance to showcase Jakarta's potential as a host city for international events. Together with PBVSI and the support of the Jakarta Provincial Government, we aim to provide the best possible experience for athletes, officials, and spectators, while also encouraging the growth of sports tourism, which will benefit Jakarta's economy," he said, Thursday (7/23).

As the organizer, he continued, the Jakarta Experience Board remains committed to providing professional, safe, and internationally standardized events.

"Through collaboration with PBVSI and the support of the Jakarta Provincial Government, the 2026 SEA V Cup is expected to be not only a success in terms of competition, but also to be a showcase for Jakarta as a global city ready to host various world sporting events," he added.

As for information, the public can still watch all matches of the 2026 SEA V Cup live by purchasing tickets through the GOERS app. Tickets are available in three categories namely Regular (Rp100,000), VIP (Rp200,000), and VVIP (Rp500,000).

"More than just a match, this tournament is a collaborative space between sports, tourism, and the creative economy that is expected to provide long-term benefits for the development of Jakarta as a world-class sports tourism destination," he stated.
